The Babylonians were the inhabitants of the Babylonian Empire, which once controlled Mesopotamia at its height. They are a playable civilization in Age of Empires and Rise of Rome. They are primarily a defensive civilization in both land and water maps and can survive multiple enemy rushes with their doubled tower and wall hit points bonus. Villagers can gather stone 30% faster and their priest can recharge their faith 50% faster, making them a good choice for beginners or those who otherwise favor a "turtling" strategy.
